Venue

The Forum will take place at the Palais des Congrès des Paris, located at 2 Place de la Porte Maillot, 75017, Paris, France.

Directions

Paris has two international airports - Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport and Orly Airport - with international flights to and from major cities all over the world. The Palais des Congrès can be reached easily by public transport or by taxi from both airports. In addition, the EuroStar train arrives at Gare du Nord station and a taxi to the venue will cost approx €20.

Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport to the Palais des Congrès - Air France Shuttle (Navette Air France) to Porte Maillot station

Orly Airport to the Palais des Congrès - Air France bus to train station Invalides and then by train (RER C) to Porte Maillot station

Paris City Centre to the Palais des Congrès - Bus Routes 82, 73, 43, 244, & PC 1, 2, 3 to Porte Maillot station

Metro - Line 1 to Porte Maillot station

Train (RER C) – Take a train going towards Neuilly – alight at Porte Maillot station

Car - Ring Road to Porte Maillot station

Car Park- There is an underground car park (1,500) spaces with direct access to the Palais des Congrès. Cash machines to buy your parking tickets are located on Level A of the venue.

Travel

For those delegates travelling to Paris from London on the Eurostar, please be aware that Eurostar offers special rates for groups of 10 or more passengers booking and travelling together. Letters of invitation and visas

Some visitors from non-European countries will require a visa to enter France. Please check the requirements with your nearest French embassy or consulate. If a letter of invitation is required to support your visa please contact us at events@bmjgroup.com

Conference attire

The dress code for the conference is smart-casual, and comfortable shoes are recommended. Daytime temperatures range from 6C to 16C in Paris in April.

Registration

Registration will take place in the Hall Maillot on Level 2 of the venue. We recommend that delegates pre-register on Tuesday 22 April from 1600-1800 hrs in order to beat the queues on the first morning. On all Forum days, registration opens at 8am, with the morning plenary session beginning at 9.30am.

Badges

You will be issued with your name badge when you register. Please do wear your badge at all times during the Forum. The colour code is as follows:

  • Blue: Delegate
  • Green: Speaker and/or Chairperson
  • Red: Press
  • Yellow: Exhibition
  • Black: Forum Staff

Quality and Safety in Healthcare (QSHC)

Paying delegates are entitled to one year’s free subscription to this bi-monthly journal. QSHC is fully peer reviewed and disseminates ideas, solutions and practices in the fields of patient safety and quality improvement. The subscription will commence with the April issue, which will be included in your delegate pack. The remaining issues will be posted to you after the Forum.
