B2 The patient safety education project: an international collaboration

Format: Workshop and round table discussion

The Patient Safety Education Project (PSEP) is an international collaboration to educate teams of health professionals and administrators in patient safety. The programme includes an intensive workshop where teams learn knowledge and skills and how to impart these in their home organisations. This session will describe the programme and demonstrate one module: Partnerships with Patients and Carers.

After this session you will be able to:

  • Understand the aim of the PSEP programme and how it has been developed
  • Understand how the PSEP programme is structured
  • Appreciate how the PSEP programme can be used in your home country
  • Understand how forming partnerships with patients and families can improve patient safety
