At a glance

The Forum will take place from Tuesday April 20 to Friday April 23, 2010

On the first day of the Forum, Tuesday 20 April,  there will be four full day mini-courses running concurrently with a full day event, the Global Patient Safety Summit. 

From Wednesday 21 April to Friday 23, April 2010 there will be six conference streams divided into seventy-seven conference sessions.

  • Tuesday 20 April 2010
    On the first day of the Forum, the four full day mini courses are:

1. Improving and Sustaining patient safety
2. Fundamentals of quality improvement
3. Developments in global health
4. Fundamentals of facilitation skill for quality improvement

Concurrently, the International Forum is proud to present a collaboration with the Global Patient Safety Summit, a convening of global leaders acting on practical everyday issues to have an immediate impact on the care they deliver.

  • Wednesday 21 April to Friday 23, April 2010

In view of current economic climate, this year's Forum theme revolves around "Improving quality, reducing costs". The conference topics on quality improvement and patient safety are divided into six streams over three days. The streams are as follows:

greenStream 1: Leading for cost and quality
pinkStream 2: Safe and reliable care
blueStream 3: Transforming the system
yellowStream 4: Igniting citizen and patient led change
orangeStream 5: Delivering clinical service improvement
purpleStream 6: Creating capacity and capability for world class results

The six conference streams are divided into seventy-seven sessions and are run as follows:

  • 6 x Keynote presentations
  • 9 x Headline presentations
  • 39 x 90 minutes sessions
  • 10 x half day mini-courses
  • 13 x 60 minutes sessions
