Strategic Advisory Board (SAB)

Created in December 2004, the Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) sets the vision and strategic direction for the future of the International Forum. The SAB has both strategic and tactical responsibilities.

Vision and Strategy

  • Establishes the vision for the Forum
  • Determines what we want our customers to say about the Forum (reputation and brand)
  • Develops the long term strategic direction
  • Advises on new partnerships and strategic relationships to build an on-going global community
  • Advise on host nations or organisations
  • Serve as ambassadors for the Forum

Programme planning

    • Designs an event to meet the vision, strategy and reputation
    • Inform general direction and suggest main themes
    • Provide knowledge of competing events
    • Assist with programme planning through being consulted and through subgroup for programme planning
    • Serve on programme sub group for one year as appropriate

      The Programme Reference Panel


      The Programme Reference Panel was created to:

      • Actively research, identify and advise the SAB of new innovative work (not previously represented on the Forum programme)
      • Ensure that the Forum continues to meet the current and future needs of its customers
      • Review abstracts submitted via the call for papers
      • Chair sessions at the Forum
      • Advise of any potential marketing opportunities
