Director, HEALTHQUAL International

Bruce Agins, MD, MPH, Medical Director, NYSDOH AIDS Institute, oversees a staff of 40 involved in HIV treatment guidelines, quality management and education programs. He is principal architect of NY’s HIV Quality Program and has 20+ years of HIV-specific QI experience. He has participated as faculty in national HIV QI collaboratives, and chaired the faculty of the national HIV QI Collaborative for state HIV agencies. Dr. Agins has extensive experience in global QI and is Director for HEALTHQUAL. Dr. Agins holds academic appointments as Professor in Global Health Sciences at UCSF and as Adjunct at NYU School of Medicine.
