Maria Hägglund is a senior researcher at the Health Informatics Centre at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. Her research focuses on user-centred development of patient-centred information and communication systems to support collaboration within health- and social care as well as patient empowerment. She is a member of the DOME research consortium, and the project leader for the PACESS research project (patient-centred assessment of patients’ online access to electronic health records). Maria is also the programme director for the Joint Global Masters Programme in Health Informatics at Karolinska Institutet/Stockholm University.
