Kirsten Wisborg is trained in paediatrics and neoantalogy, primarily in Denmark but also in Norway and the UK. She holds a doctoral degree in medicine from Aarhus University and a master degree in public management from the University of Southern Denmark. From 2011-2013 she was head of Department of Paediatrics at Randers Regional Hospital, Denmark and from 2013-2017 Centre Director at Head and Heart Centre, Aarhus University Hospital. From 2017 she is medical director at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital (BFH). Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital is a university hospital with main fokus on tertiary and emergency care in close combination with teaching and research. It serves 455,000 citizens and has 4200 employees.
