Project lead Value Based Healthcare, OLVG hospital (Santeon group)
Samyra Keus is project lead Value Based Healthcare at OLVG hospital, part of the Santeon Group. She
facilitates implementation of the improvement cycles by multidisciplinary VBHC teams dedicated to
specific patient groups. This is done in close collaboration with the other 6 Santeon hospitals, within
the VBHC@Santeon program. This program was awarded the VBHC Collaboration Award 2017.
Samyra has a long track record of innovation of Parkinson’s care, both national and international.
This includes development of evidence-based guidelines, co-creation of regional networks of
dedicated healthcare professionals (ParkinsonNet, VBHC Prize 2015) and it’s international scaling up
(e.g. at Kaiser Permanente). Samyra holds a BSc in physical therapy; a Msc in human movement
sciences; and a PhD in medicine.
