C2: Caring for the ‘Third Workforce’: Developing Resilience and Wellbeing with Carers

Friday, 25th August
16:00-17:00

The Resilience and Wellbeing programme was originally designed for frontline NHS staff. It has been adapted for and with Carers so that we can better understand critical episodes in their health/wellbeing status, and find non clinical interventions to sustain their resilience and wellbeing. The Carers have co-produced the Carers Resilience and Wellbeing programme, and are partners in taking the programme forward.

This session will introduce how to inculcate resilience and wellbeing through salutogenesis, and will:

  • Discuss the role of salutogenesis in sustaining resilient communities

  • Understand how they could adopt the approach in their own communities

  • Consider how the approach can be cascaded within their teams
