E3: Are we really patient centred?

In this session you will hear from 2 speakers, one from New Zealand and one from India, on how to use the different information we have to improve patient experience. You will hear about how information from patient experience is being used to guide quality improvement in New Zealand and how a more patient centred approach has been used by modifying training to dental undergraduates and postgraduates in India.

After this session you will:

  • Know about and describe how patient experience data can be used to guide quality improvement

  • Understand the role of transformative education in training and development

  • Understand the different emphasise on communication in various health settings.
