D4: Staff Well-Being Translates to Safer Care

This session deals with the importance of promoting healthcare provider mental well-being and the just culture within healthcare organizations. This leads to promoting personal accountability of one’s action which translates to a heightened patient safety culture levels within the healthcare organization.

The learning objectives are to:

  • Identify risk factors adversely affecting the mental well-being among healthcare providers

  • Link between psychological safety among healthcare providers and patient safety

  • Understand how to promote personal accountability to improve patient safety.
