Frances Mortimer

Medical Director, The Centre for Sustainable Healthcare; England

Dr. Frances Mortimer is Medical Director at the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare, an independent charity, where her focus is on engaging clinicians with the concept of sustainable clinical care. She has led the development of their innovative “Sustainable Specialty” programmes, which foster change within clinical communities, supported by research into the carbon footprint of alternative models of care. Frances studied medicine at Oxford University and at the Royal Free & University College London Medical School, graduating in 2003. In 2008, she left specialist training in renal medicine to take up her current position.
