Peter Hibbert is the Program Manager at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation (AIHI) at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. His research areas are patient safety and evidence-based care. Prior to these roles, he was the Associate Director of Patient Safety at the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA), London, United Kingdom where he managed clinical teams to reduce preventable patient harm in health care across England and Wales. He was the Program Director for “Matching Michigan” at the time, the largest central line bloodstream infection reduction program in the world comprising over 200 intensive care units across England. He has also been involved in a number of World Health Organisation patient safety programs.
