An enterprise approach to quality requires a dedicated team to support the transformation.  These teams of quality specialists exist in nearly every health system.  Yet, systems lack adequate guidance on exactly what roles quality teams should take on and what structures are most appropriate.  This session will outline key considerations for quality team structures, innovative approaches to engage patients and offer participants an opportunity to share their experiences and questions.  


After this session, participants will be able to: 



  • Understand the role of quality specialists 

  • Outline key considerations for the structures of quality departments

  • Identify innovations in quality specialist roles
