He was a pioneer of Critical Care Outreach, first Chair of the National Outreach Forum, Lead for Critical Care Outreach at the Department of Health Modernisation Agency, and is Immediate Past President of the International Society for Rapid Response Systems. John was Clinical Lead &#8211; for Deterioration, and Sepsis &#8211; of UCL Partners Patient Safety Collaborative (2010-17); cardiac arrests and mortality were significantly reduced across the region with continuous measurement, analysis of human factors, and quality improvement.
