National Clinical Lead, Improvement Hub, Healthcare Improvement Scotland; Scotland

Dr Aravindan Veiraiah is the National Clinical Lead for SPSP Medicines, which is a team of four tasked with improving medicines safety in Scotland. He is also a Consultant in Acute Medicine and Toxicology, and his clinical roles include management of acutely ill medical patients and providing advice on poisons management throughout the UK. He completed the Scottish Patient Safety Fellowship in 2015, holds Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians in London and Edinburgh, and has specialist training in Clinical Pharmacology, Therapeutics and Toxicology.
