B6: The Flow Coaching Academy programme: developing improvement coaching capability across the UK

Thursday 28 March
13:15 – 14:30

This workshop introduces the programme’s vision to develop a network of Flow Coaching Academies across the UK to train improvement coaches from within NHS provider organisations.
After an overview of the year-long action learning course, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in a live demonstration of Flow Coaching in a ‘Big Room’ demonstrating coaching skills.
There are already 10 Flow Coaching Academies and their outcome data will be shared throughout the session.

After this session, participants will be able to:

1. Understand the value of combining coaching skills and QI knowledge
2. Appreciate the importance of the Big Room translated from the Toyota Oobeya as a place to build trust and team working
3. Be able to describe how to maintain fidelity of QI training across a network spreading nationally
