Dr Atmore is a general practitioner and health services researcher based in the Department of General Practice and Rural Health, University of Otago, in Dunedin, New Zealand. She also holds roles in health service management and leadership at local, regional and national level within the New Zealand health system. She has led health system service redesign to integrate community care, primary care, mental health and hospital services, including the strengthening of local networks between smaller and larger hospitals. Her interests include health system redesign, integrated care, rural health and regional networks.
