C7: Patients, staff, citizens, institutions, communities, populations – improving health & care together

Thursday 28 March
15:00 – 16:00

In this interactive workshop we will bring a broader lens to improvement and share our experience of how we are thinking differently about how patients, staff, citizens, institutions, communities and populations can work together to improve health & care.

We will describe some of the ingredients including community organizing methods, networks for new ways of delivering care, hospitals as anchor institutions, and understanding and learning from the amazing assets that communities have within them.

After this session, participants will be able to:

1. Gain new perspectives about how to improve care using the assets that are patients, staff, citizens, institutions, communities and populations
2. Have an opportunity to reflect on concepts in the session and discuss with others how they might apply this to their own context
3. Take home tangible ideas for how to think differently and improve how to deliver and enable the best possible health and care to evolving populations and communities.
