F3: Whose improvement is it anyway? Putting the person into person-centred care
15:00 – 16:00
There is a growing consensus that people with long-term conditions need a better deal from the healthcare systems. We need to shift away from ‘What’s the matter with you?’ to ‘What matters to you?’, from thinking in terms of better services to better lives.
This co-produced, practical session will include evidence, case studies and tools that participants can use to lead change in their local areas and make person and family centred approaches a reality.
After this session, participants will be able to:
1. Build a better business case for person and family centred approaches
2. Use practical tools for engendering better conversations where they live and work
3. Describe what person-centred approaches mean to them and their organisation and the change that is needed
