The change involved a broad variety of projects from physical change in waiting areas to videoconferences with patients. This workshop will discuss key areas of the project such as how to select relevant indicators, how to get doctors on board, the best way to involve patients and the \u2018Tivoli gardens\u2019 concept \u201cCEO within a radius of 3 meter\u201d<\/span><br><br><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After this session, participants will be able to:<\/span><br><ol><br><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Using tools in patient-centered healthcare including how to change the culture.<\/span><\/li><br><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Know indicators for patient-centered healthcare in improvement project.<\/span><\/li><br><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Recognize pitfalls in implementing patient-centered healthcare.<\/span><\/li><br><\/ol><br><b><a href=\"http:\/\/internationalforum.bmj.com\/glasgow\/2019\/01\/07\/niels-reichstein-larsen\/\">Niels Reichstein Larsen<\/a>, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hospital director, Bornholms Hospital; Denmark<\/span><br><br>Part B: Dutch Value Based Cardiac Care; bundled payments &amp; measuring outcomes and costs<br><br>After successfully collecting high quality outcome data, demonstrable improvement &amp; sharing of best practices, the implementation of VBHC in Dutch Heart care has moved to the next stage. 10 hospitals and a health insurance company implemented the first Bundled Payment Model, rewarding hospitals for quality instead of volume. Also 5 hospitals implemented the new patient value model, measuring patient relevant outcomes and costs that can be influenced by physicians, leading to new insights and improvement opportunities.<br><br><strong>After this session, participants will be able to:<br><\/strong><br>1. Design new Bundled Payment Models with a focus on outcomes that matter most to patients, in addition to traditional payment models<br>2. Provide new insights in patient value, by analyzing outcomes &amp; costs; and understand critical choices that need to be made to design patient value models.<br>3.
