He was Head of Department of Surgery at the County Hospital Ryhov in J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping, Sweden 2004-2012. His PhD-thesis 2005 was on techniques in cholecystectomy. His present position since 2012 is Chief Medical Officer\/Patient Safety Lead in Region J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping County. He also has a part-time position at The J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping School of Health and Welfare at the J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping University with research and education in patient safety. Dr Ros has had an interest in Patient Safety work for many years, and he is a founding member of the Resilient Health Care Society.
