Since the end of the first covid wave, Doris serves additionally as Principal Epidemiologist at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, Wales, UK. When working as a mathematical modeller and Innovation lead in the British NHS (2015-2020), Doris became interested in Quality Improvement and was, among others, awarded an NHS Wales Award in Patient Safety for the learning produced by her extended IHI Improvement Advisor project on reducing pressure ulcers.
