In the past, Patient Safety improvement has mainly relied on compliance. But what happens when the workload is such that it is no longer feasible to comply with every rule? Resilience becomes the key concept. However, resilience must be organised and managed. Teamwork offers real world solutions to promote and prepare resilience.<\/span><\/p>

TeamSTEPPS stands for \u2018Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety’. It offers tools and strategies to improve team communication, leadership, situation monitoring and mutual support.<\/span><\/p>

The session will share tools, strategies, and experience in implementation. It will include a serious game on Teamwork.<\/span><\/p>

After this session, participants will be able to:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>


  1. Brief management on the key strategies and tools to improve teamwork<\/span><\/li>
  2. Understand the success factors for the implementation of TeamSTEPPS<\/span><\/li>
  3. Understand how improving Teamwork impacts Patient Safety<\/span><\/li>
