Ms. Jorgenson provides direction and leadership for development of accreditation standards, management of standards interpretations, and oversight for clinical operations. Ms. Jorgenson participates as faculty for field staff training and education and serves as an international surveyor. Ms. Jorgenson also functions as a surveyor for the International Society for Quality and Patient Safety. Ms. Jorgenson represents Joint Commission International in relationships with international accreditation bodies and government agencies, such as Ministries of Health.

Ms. Jorgenson possesses clinical and operational expertise in nursing operations and has an extensive background in professional regulatory issues. She was appointed to the Illinois State Board of Nursing and served on the Governor’s task force to examine the role and responsibilities of unlicensed assistive personnel.
