Euan Wallace

Euan Wallace is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist with an academic clinical practice in maternal-fetal medicine. He graduated in medicine from the Edinburgh Medical School in 1986 and completed basic medical training in Scotland before commencing specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in 1988.

From 1988-1991 Dr Wallace undertook formal research training as a WHO Research Fellow at the MRC (UK) Centre for Reproductive Biology and discovered inhibin-A as a new marker for Down syndrome. In Australia, he has experience in health service leadership at local, state and national levels and in October 2016 was appointed as the inaugural CEO of Safer Care Victoria.
