{"id":1231,"date":"2024-04-11T04:43:51","date_gmt":"2024-04-11T04:43:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/internationalforum.bmj.com\/london\/?p=1231"},"modified":"2024-04-11T04:47:21","modified_gmt":"2024-04-11T04:47:21","slug":"ikran-ahmed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/internationalforum.bmj.com\/london\/2024\/04\/11\/ikran-ahmed\/","title":{"rendered":"Ikran Ahmed"},"content":{"rendered":"<br><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1232\" src=\"https:\/\/internationalforum.bmj.com\/london\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2024\/04\/Ikran-150x212-min.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"212\" \/><\/p><br><p><em><strong>SCIE Consultant<\/strong><\/em><\/p><br><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ikran\u00a0is a SCIE Consultant, having<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>previously worked as an Operations Director and Service Manager at Mind.\u00a0 Prior to that she worked in various roles across the charity sector, including as an Operations Manager at Age UK and served as a Social Prescribing Link Worker as well as Vaccinator during COVID.\u00a0 Ikran has worked in many capacities for the NHS, including digital projects and transformation, facilitating improvements in access to health and social care for vulnerable and under-represented groups.\u00a0She trained in medicine and later in social care, with a particular aptitude for integrating and bridging the gaps between health and social care.\u00a0 She has won several recognitions, including from the local mayor and community leaders.<\/p><br><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Ikran previously led a pilot project for a hospital discharge pathway, along with single point of access systems in the charity sector through Alliances. She worked across system partners including health, social care, housing and the voluntary sector to develop a new service to reduce inappropriate hospital re-admissions and to increase people\u2019s positive experience of hospital discharge.
