He is also a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists\u2019 Intellectual Disability Executive Committee.<\/p><br><p>He has made a rapid ascent into senior medical leadership and his work has been nationally recognised as shown by him being shortlisted for the Royal College of Psychiatrists\u2019 \u201cPsychiatrist of the Year\u201d award in 2021.<\/p><br><p>Hassan was interim Divisional Medical Director in Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 and had an interview about his leadership experience during the pandemic published in the BMJ Leader.<\/p><br><p>He innovated \u201cMulticultural STOMP\u201d a national first, which aims to improve STOMP implementation in people with Learning Disability and\/or Autism.
