He is responsible for developing a culture and practice of continuous Improvement, engaging all staff and embedding it as the approach to address our most urgent health priorities. He also leads for the group on a wide-ranging Transformation and Patient Safety Programme. He has held positions of Medical Director, Chief Operating Officer and CEO, of NHS Acute and Mental Health Trusts. He continues to practice as a Consultant Geriatrician, specialising in Movement Disorders. He is an Improvement Advisor and IHI Fellow.
