{"id":819,"date":"2024-02-20T13:35:39","date_gmt":"2024-02-20T13:35:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/internationalforum.bmj.com\/london\/?p=819"},"modified":"2024-02-26T10:33:33","modified_gmt":"2024-02-26T10:33:33","slug":"katherine-brittin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/internationalforum.bmj.com\/london\/2024\/02\/20\/katherine-brittin\/","title":{"rendered":"Katherine Brittin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-892\" src=\"https:\/\/internationalforum.bmj.com\/london\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2024\/02\/Katherine-Brittin_150px-min.jpg\" alt=\"Katherine Brittin ELFT\" width=\"150\" height=\"212\" \/><\/p><br><p><em><strong>East London NHS Foundation Trust<\/strong><\/em><\/p><br><p>Katherine Brittin is Associate Director of QI at East London Foundation NHS Trust, she is a registered midwife and gained a Master\u2019s in Public Health from the University of Cape Town, she became a certified Improvement Advisor from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in 2013.<\/p><br><p>Katherine spent 13 years in South Africa working for US funded non-government organisations, where the focus of her experience was health system strengthening to support HIV and TB programmes using a QI approach to reduce transmission from mother to infants and to improve system wide health care management to improve population health.<\/p><br><p>Katherine returned to the NHS in 2019 and joined East London NHS Foundation Trust to develop her improvement expertise and support the Trust in their improvement strategy.<\/p><br><p>In her home life she has two teenage children.
