His key areas of interest in Patient Safety include just culture, psychological safety, civility, systems thinking, learning and improvement. He holds a PhD in Human Factors Engineering and contributes his expertise to guide healthcare staff in analysing human errors and facilitate improvement efforts to develop processes that are user-centered and resilient to human fallibility. He is a passionate advocate for a fair yet caring culture of shared accountability as a foundation for continuous growth in safety and reliability among individuals, teams, leaders and systems.
