He trained as a medical doctor at the University of Auckland, and later completed a Master\u2019s in Public Health.<\/p><br><p>Dr Bloomfield has held several positions of leadership including Chief Executive at Hutt Valley District Health Board from 2015 to 2018, Director of Public Health, and a stint at the World Health Organization.
