BMJ Leader is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing<br>leadership in health care and health Professions Education. Our mission is to contribute to the<br>improvement of health systems\u2014and ultimately population health\u2014by cultivating excellence<br>in leadership. We are equally committed to fostering an inclusive, global community of<br>healthcare leaders. To this end, the journal welcomes high-quality contributions from various<br>disciplines, perspectives, and geographic contexts.<\/p><br><p>During this session, we will provide an overview of the journal\u2019s aims, scope, and article<br>types, including original research, brief reports, reviews, reflective essays, and commentaries. Participants will also have the unique opportunity to engage directly with the editors through<br>a live discussion of selected paper pitches. This exchange is designed to offer valuable,<br>practical insight into the kinds of work that align with the journal\u2019s mission and editorial<br>priorities.<\/p><br><p>If you are interested in having your pitch considered for discussion, we invite you to prepare<br>a concise, 30-second elevator pitch. This should clearly articulate your central research<br>question, the methods (if applicable), key findings, and the novel contribution of your work. We look forward to your participation in what promises to be a stimulating and constructive<br>session.<\/p><br><p>By the end of the session, participants will be able to:<\/p><br><ul><br><li>Gain insight into the types of work published in BMJ Leader, focusing on understanding<br>the key factors that contribute to successful publication.<\/li><br><li>Demystify the process of pitching and publishing in BMJ Leader by fostering a discourse<br>that enables editors to learn from participants\u2019 diverse perspectives. This discussion aims to<br>inform ongoing efforts to enhance the journal\u2019s accessibility to contributors addressing a<br>broad spectrum of leadership topics and experiences.<\/li><br><li>Engage in real-time editorial dialogue and explore the kinds of ideas and submissions the<br>journal considers.
