Why do diagnostic errors occur, and how do we address them?\u00a0 Whether you’re shaping health policy or practice, managing clinical risk, leading a healthcare organization, delivering clinical care, or advocating as a patient or caregiver, you’re in a unique position to reduce the burden of diagnostic error. This interactive session explores the complexities of the diagnostic process and the challenges of enhancing diagnostic safety, offering actionable strategies and guidance to minimize diagnostic errors. We will highlight contributing factors to diagnostic error and share practical, evidence-informed strategies to make diagnoses safer and more reliable across all settings of care.<\/span><\/p>

  1. Describe key factors that contribute to diagnostic errors, including cognitive, system, and contextual factors.<\/span><\/li>
