She completed her PhD in March this year, focusing on healthcare worker well-being, with an emphasis on understanding the interconnected factors of stress, fatigue, and performance variability in healthcare professionals. Her research explored how these elements influence surgeon performance and overall well-being, while also examining the perspectives and practices of organizational and system entities in promoting healthcare worker wellness.<\/p><br><p>Currently, Iris works as a medical doctor in the Department of Surgery at St. Antonius Hospital in Nieuwegein. In addition to her clinical work, she aims to continue her research as a post-doctoral researcher.
