Executive Director, Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI); USA

Carly Strang, MBA, Executive Director, Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), is the strategic and operational lead for IHI’s virtual educational training and programs. In partnership with the Executive Director of Events, Ms. Strang is responsible for leading a cross-functional program development team to design and deliver world-class educational programs. As part of this role, Ms. Strang provides strategic planning and programmatic leadership for the IHI Open School, an initiative to build improvement capability and leadership in the next generation of health care professionals. She has organizational development experience designing an internal leadership program for middle managers, managing IHI’s internship development program, and leading cross-functional teams in internal improvement efforts. She earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University and her MBA with a Healthcare Administration concentration from Suffolk University.
