Dr. Louise Blume studied Health Science at the University of Maastricht (specialization in management and prevention) and obtained a Master’s degree in Health Economics, Policy and Management. As a health scientist she worked the first years of her career as policy officer in a Hospital in the south of the Netherlands: Zuyderland Medical Center. As policy officer she was involved in setting up and coordinating the integrated audit system of the hospitals and was one of the founders of a database for Dutch hospitals guidelines.  As an expert in  quality management and general guidelines for hospital operations, she has published in journals and presented at several occasions.
