Consultant Public Health Physician, Director of Medical Development Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia

A public health specialist who obtained his MBBS and MPH degrees from University Malaya in 1984 and 1988 respectively; later pursuing for PhD in University of Nottingham, UK in 1995 in the area of quality of life research. Earlier, he has served as a district health officer, a director of a 700 beds computerized hospital, a programme technical officer at the ministry level, state health director and director of the Institute of Health System Research (IHSR) Malaysia. He was one of the USAID to Jordan in Quality Assurance and short term WHO consultant for Vietnam, China and Papua New Guinea.
