Deepthika De Silva



Head of Healthcare Performance Office, St Andrew’s Community Hospital (SACH), Singapore

Dr Deepthika De Silva is the Head of Healthcare Performance Office at St Andrew’s Community Hospital (SACH) overlooking the healthcare quality and Patient Safety aspects within the organisation. She is trained in the fields of clinical medicine, psychology, mental health and counseling with over 20 years of experience in multi-cultural populations which utilises these combination of skill sets, and is much valued in the current scope of work. Her current work portfolio includes designing a quality improvement framework, initiating quality improvement training and leading quality improvement projects each year. Deepthika also assist in establishing appropriate safety and quality structures for their new sister organisations – senior day care centers and nursing homes.

Deepthika is a member of Healthcare Quality Society of Singapore and represent its organisation in the Singapore Healthcare Improvement Network (SHINe). She is one of the Program Managers in SACH and contribute actively in coaching and leading her teams in the SHINe’s Large Scale Initiative – Reduce Harm in Patients Medication safety Promotion and Healthcare Infection Prevention workstreams.

She has a passion to study the subject of human factors in healthcare to build, strengthen and sustain the patient safety culture in a rapidly changing landscape.
