Dr. Poonam Gupta is a Senior Improvement Advisor and Value Improvement Lead at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, London. She spearheaded the first Value Improvement initiative in England with frailty team in Oxleas, delivering outstanding results and setting a benchmark for wider adoption. With experience across the UK, Middle East, and India, she has led large-scale healthcare transformations focused on quality, safety, and value.

Previously, Dr. Gupta was Program Director for Value Improvement at the Heart Hospital, Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar, where she drove system-wide change. She also served as lead faculty for the National Efficiency Improvement Collaborative with the Centre for National Health Insurance in Saudi Arabia and is a faculty member with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI).

As Assistant Deputy Editor of IJQHC, ISQua’s journal, Dr. Gupta has published widely, received several awards for quality and safety initiatives, and is a recognised international speaker.
