Stream: Leading

Early Career Professionals (ECPs) are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are critical and innovative change agents today. This dynamic session, delivered by the Next Generation Advisory Panel (NGAP) and the Aspiring Leaders in Healthcare Network (ALiHN), explores the tangible impact ECPs have when given the tools, mentorship, and opportunities to drive change. Join us to discover practical strategies and inspiring case studies focused on developing the next generation of healthcare leaders.

This high energy workshop will focus upon empowerment of early career frontline staff through quality improvement.

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LTHTR) will share learning from an innovative Enhance Explore programme co-designed with resident doctors. Supporting the next generation to develop skills to lead through quality improvement can support resilience at individual, organisational and system levels. The lived experiences of resident doctors will be shared demonstrating how their development as leaders of continuous improvement has enable this.

This case study will act as a springboard into an interactive exploration of opportunities to empower front line clinical staff from across the multidisciplinary team through continuous improvement, to enable the next generation to confidently lead healthcare systems into the future.
