Shivangi Medhi

Shivangi Medhi is the Health Improvement Programme Manager at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (London, UK), leading specialist tobacco dependency services across acute hospital settings. Their work focuses on embedding prevention into routine care, strengthening early identification and reducing unwarranted variation through standardises, system-wide approaches.
As part of their voluntary work. Shivangi was the former Chair of Ashiana Network, a London based charity that has received international recognition for their specialist services for Black and minoritised women who have experienced or are at risk of gender-based violence. Shivangi is currently a trustee of Woman's Trust, a specialist mental health charity that provides free counselling and therapy for women and girls who have experienced abuse.
Beginning their public health career in local government in 2014, Shivangi has led diverse portfolios including domestic abuse prevention, sexual and reproductive health, outbreak management in care homes and cardiovascular disease prevention. This cross-sector experience informs their systems approach to healthcare transformation.
