Dr Lucy Worthington is an aspiring healthcare improvement leader with a strong
interest in advancing safety, quality, and patient experience across complex clinical
environments. She is committed to applying evidence-based improvement
methodologies to support better outcomes for patients and staff.
As a Foundation Year Two Doctor and Enhance Trainee, Lucy brings frontline clinical
insight to her improvement work, alongside a developing expertise in quality
improvement and systems thinking. She aspires to specialise in Obstetrics and
Gynaecology and is a passionate advocate for women’s health and equity.
In her role as a North West Enhanced Explore Clinical Fellow, Lucy contributes to
focused improvement initiatives at local and regional levels, working collaboratively
across disciplines to drive meaningful change. She is a keen educator, leading
Foundation Programme teaching series, and is academically engaged, having
presented novel research within the general surgical field. Lucy is passionate about
empowering early-career clinicians through education, collaboration, and
improvement work that helps shape the future of healthcare.
