Synnøve Serigstad is the head of investigation methods, learning and quality improvement at the Norwegian Healthcare Investigation Board. She is responsible for developing a healthcare investigation method and process, the board's internal education program, and ensuring that the board's reports and recommendations are conveyed in a pedagogical and useful way for the recipients.

Synnøve has a cand. polit degree in Political Science from the University of Bergen and has published over 10 scientific articles on homeland security. She has worked as a researcher at Uni Research Rokkan and the University of Stavanger. She has experience in quality improvement and implementation science through Nordic improvement agent education and IHI's improvement coach program. Before joining the Investigation Board, Synnøve led the implementation of the Norwegian national patient safety program "In Safe Hands 24/7" in the Western Norway Regional Health Authority.
