The Oslo 2026 programme theme

2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare – a milestone in bringing together global health and care leaders to share learning and drive improvement.

The Oslo programme theme is “The Power of Us: Strengthening Systems and Deepening Resilience to Improve Quality in Health and Care.”

Health and care systems worldwide face unprecedented pressures – workforce shortages, tighter budgets, and rising demand for long-term care. Yet these challenges offer a chance to reimagine systems built on collaboration, compassion, and collective strength.

In Oslo, we will explore how the power of teams, organisations, and communities can create and maintain resilient systems that prevent harm, support wellbeing, and deliver lasting improvements in quality and safety.
