Chelsea Ryan

Chelsea Ryan is a lifelong Alaskan with roots in rural Alaska. She is Upper Kuskokwim
Athabascan and grew up in the village of McGrath. Her primary drivers are family and
community. Chelsea graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2010 with a
bachelor’s degree in nursing and a minor in Anthropology. Chelsea has been a nurse
for 14 years and has spent her career in the Alaska Native Tribal Health System in roles
ranging from an adult medical-surgical unit, outpatient case management, and nurse
management and leadership. She joined SCF in 2013 and serves as the Nurse Director
for Anchorage Primary Care. Chelsea is passionate about the health and wellness of
her people and increasing representation and support for diverse and underrepresented
populations in health professions. Some of her most cherished titles are wife, mom,
auntie, sister, and friend.
