ACHS is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving quality in health care. Our Council represents governments, consumers and peak health bodies from throughout Australia. We are Australia’s leading health care assessment and accreditation provider. ACHS works with health care professionals, consumers, and government and industry stakeholders to develop and continually review health standards.

Clinical Excellence Commission
The primary focus of the CEC has been to promote and support improved clinical care, safety and quality across the NSW public health system, and to meet functions specified by the Minister for Health. Monitoring processes and performance, to provide assurance of clinical quality and safety improvement at a system-wide level, has been a central and distinct role of the CEC. The CEC has gained local, national and international recognition by developing and driving programs and initiatives in collaboration with clinicians, managers, consumers and health service partners.
Queensland Health
Queensland Health’s Clinical Excellence Queensland partners with health services, clinicians and consumers to drive measurable improvements in patient care through its continual pursuit of safety, quality and overall excellence. Priority areas include clinician engagement; service improvement; clinical workforce development; governance; integrating care; patient experience; safety and quality; measuring care and the digital agenda.

The ACT Health Directorate (ACT Health) aims to deliver the best possible healthcare and health-related services in Australia, through its public hospitals – Calvary Hospital and Canberra Hospital; Community Health; Mental Health ACT; Capital Region Cancer Service; Aged Care and Rehabilitation Service and Population Health, including the Health Protection Service. Council of Presidents of Medical Colleges
The Council of Presidents of Medical Colleges (CPMC) is the unifying organisation of and support structure for the specialist Medical Colleges of Australia. The CPMC seeks to ensure that individual medical specialties have a broad base of intercollegiate knowledge so as to enable them to provide for the Australian community the highest quality of medical care delivered in accordance with accepted clinical principles and to improve, protect and promote the health of the Australian public. The CPMC is also involved in policy development and, as the peak specialist medical body in Australia, provides objective advice on health issues to the Government and the wider community.

The Health Quality & Safety Commission works with clinicians, providers and consumers to improve health and disability support services. Our vision is a world-class and patient-centred health care and disability support system in New Zealand. It’s about doing the right thing – and doing it right. Our priority is to reduce patient harm from healthcare associated infections, surgery, medication and falls. Our programme areas include medication safety, infection prevention and control, adverse events, reducing harm from falls, health quality evaluation, consumer engagement, reducing perioperative harm and mortality review.

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) was initially established in 2006 by the Australian, state and territory governments to lead and coordinate national improvements in safety and quality in health care. The Commission is a government agency that leads and coordinates national improvements in safety and quality in health care across Australia. Our aim is to support healthcare professionals, organisations and policy makers who work with patients and carers.

The Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) is a specialist medical college that provides education, training, knowledge and advice in medical management. Recognised by the Australian and New Zealand Medical Councils, it delivers programs to medical managers and other medical practitioners who are training for or occupying Specialist Leadership or Administration positions.
