Cassie is the Oncology Nurse Practitioner at Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service in Queensland. She is the Clinical Lead of the Medical Oncology Rapid Access Clinic at Sunshine Coast University Hospital, a service she helped establish as Project Lead. With over 15 years of experience in cancer care, Cassie has worked extensively across medical oncology, haematology, and bone marrow transplantation. Her dedication to improving patient outcomes was recognised in 2022 when she was awarded the Cancer Council Queensland Oncology Nurse of the Year. Cassie is passionate about advancing cancer care through innovation, collaboration, and evidence-based practice. She has contributed to the development of national blueprints, position statements, and research reports, aimed at enhancing the quality and accessibility of care for people with a diagnosis of cancer.
