Katie has over 25 years of diverse experience in clinical care, management, and senior leadership roles, including acute care, primary care, public health, and community health, catering to both adult and paediatric populations, demonstrating a commitment to serving First Nations communities. As a Palawa woman, she brings a unique perspective and cultural sensitivity to her work. She is also a published researcher, having contributed to a paper on a novel gel-based method for self-collection of pathology samples (BMJ) in her clinical work.

Katie is passionate about building safer care through improvement capability and consumer engagement and joined the Improvement Academy almost 3 years ago to work on this mission.
