Format: Workshop

Content filters: n/a

There is no quality without equity. COVID put a spotlight on inequities across the UK and globally – challenges that have been known for some time suddenly became even more urgent. This interactive session will describe some of the lessons learned through the use of improvement methods to tangibly close equity gaps for and with populations. Presenters will share global experiences as well as the experience of Core20Plus5 through the NHS National Inequalities team and the work of the NHS Race and Health Observatory to demonstrate tangible ways to close equity gaps.

As a result of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand how to move from describing equity challenges to deeply getting to know affected populations and working closely with them towards impact

  • Understand how to lead for closing equity gaps

  • Learn from national, regional and local experiences to close equity gaps
